What is the purpose of the Mountain Library Foundation?

The purpose of the Mountain Library Foundation is to establish and to maintain a fund for special needs of the Library beyond the usual operating expenses.

Why does the Library need such a fund?

Although the Town of Signal Mountain provides for the Library’s annual operating expenses, there will always be a need for new technologies, programs, and enhanced services. The Mountain Library Foundation was established in early 2008 to create and maintain a fund for these needs.

The Foundation is soliciting funds through gifts and bequests. These funds are not to be used for regular operating and maintenance expenses of the Library or to replace gifts to the Library from other sources. Funds are maintained and invested in the Library Foundation account through the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga.
